One of the biggest advantages of the DayOf Standard is that every vendor operates within the same framework. Here is how the key vendors collaborate throughout the day:

The coordinator runs the show.

The coordinator arrives first (C-5) and serves as the single point of contact for all vendors. They build the timeline, manage communication, and cue every transition. Every other vendor looks to the coordinator for direction on timing and logistics.

Photographer and videographer work in parallel.

Both arrive at C-3 and independently execute their own timelines while coordinating with each other to avoid being in each other's shots. They share the photography timeline with the coordinator in advance so everything aligns.

The entertainment vendor executes the reception alongside the coordinator.

The entertainment vendor and coordinator work closely during the reception. The coordinator cues transitions (toasts, dances, entrances) and the entertainment vendor executes them musically and as MC. The entertainment vendor also handles all ceremony and cocktail hour sound.

The officiant plugs into the ceremony block.

The officiant arrives at C-1, conducts the ceremony within the timeline, and departs after. The coordinator manages the ceremony cues and processional.

The content creator moves independently.

The content creator captures candid, social-style content throughout the day. They work around the photographer and videographer without interfering with formal coverage.

Why this matters for couples

You do not need to manage vendor coordination yourself. The DayOf Standard ensures every vendor already knows the structure, their responsibilities, and how they fit into the bigger picture. Your coordinator handles the rest.
